In Dublin. A pretty big wheel down at the cracker factory. Dabbles occasionally in telecoms.
It is time for us all to sit down with a winter milk coffee and read the greatest Christmas story that was ever told about ChristmasâŠ

One thing that rankles with me - slightly - about nepo baby discourse, is that seemingly 90% of successful actors in the UK have a massive structural advantage simply from being born rich. To obsess over the 1% who also have famous parents as if THAT'S the problem, misses the forest for the trees.

The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

It would be one thing having a "debate" on immigration if people meant they wanted a "debate" based on facts. But what most people seem to mean when they say they want a debate is that is they want us to pretend a bunch of entirely made up bullshit is true.

Every far-right riot and protest that was tolerated, every racist dog whistle from public reps, every bit of hate and misinformation allowed to spread by social media companies, all led to this moment in Drogheda last night where someone felt emboldened enough to try to burn children alive.

Remarkable how much time is being given to analysing Steen's failure, none of which mentions that she has no political background or experience whatsoever. Hearing one ex-TD saying it was "rude"not to meet with her - why? You can't just show up at the game and expect the coach to play you.

Genuinely baffled by the wailing and pearl clutching about Maria Steen not being on the ballot. Why are people acting like she was basically owed the nomination, or we are obliged to have her on the ballot? She started her campaign like 5 minutes before the deadline and failed, she is owed nothing.

People say that if you want to get the chefâs actual intention for a recipe you should resist the urge to put in more garlic than they say, because itâs been carefully worked out to balance the flavours properly. But I say leave me alone I will eat my cereal however I like.
