A Man came to service the boiler this morning. Cowardy cats nosedived for cover under a bed terrified of the new voice and tool noises.

Pressing the play button on the remote has a dual function: programme starts, cat appears within 60 seconds looking for food. And repeat with second cat, rotating turns for the rest of the night.

And once again, a personal appeal if anyone knows a hay supplier in any county around Dublin/Wicklow, Iâve lost mine for the coming months (rain crisis) and only have about a 3,week supply left for a small equine herd đł

. Now hanging in Liverpool, "Stone Wall, Cottage" came out of my brief life on the north coast of Donegal, where me and my little dog would walk 5-mile loops enjoying the views of the Seven Sisters. I can't look at it without remembering her.

Just catching the end of a 2010 concert on BBC4 with various artists performing Nick Drake songs. I know almost nothing about him except the odd song here and there. This is excellent if anyone can track it down again.

Bouncy landing at Dublin airport earlier prompted some clapping from the People Who Clap When Planes Land. A few threw a smile and a âfair play to him!â at the cabin crew as they got off.

Tomorrow I'll be in Liverpool, so here's a sketch I did there a couple of years back, on the day we interred my mother's ashes in her hometown - as I cycled to Waterloo and sketched this group of buildings on South Rd before returning to family and going to the cemetery.

from Ireland's south coast. "Ardmore" is an exalted place for me, not because of the Round Tower, but because when I was small I stayed in a caravan and every day you'd jump over the dunes to the beach after first eating a bowl of Puffa Puffa Rice.
