Oof. If you want to watch another event as dramatic as men's figure skating, try yesterday morning's women's slopestyle final. So many falls right when people needed most to not fall! Sudden upsets! Commentators being confused by the scores! It had it all.

In 2025, I got frustrated with people saying my protagonists weren't active (even beta readers who *liked* my protagonists kept saying it). But the usual advice about how to structure a story around an active protagonist had never quite made sense to me. So I designed my own mini self study...

At some point if you read enough of my books it will become clear that I don't actually understand any battle tactics other than "create a diversion" 🙄
