It’s a big deal that @kayforparks.bsky.social, who is 24 years of age, won her race in District 5. She challenged the status quo and beat the sitting Vice-President of the Park Board. That is no small task. 1/

Far too often, young people (esp. young women) get told they need to slow down or wait their turn. I think that’s nonsense. I’m excited to collaborate with them & advance progressive policies for THEIR generation and the following generations. This is our responsibility, and I’m happy they’re here.

Thank you to District 5 for believing in our grassroots campaign that advocates for workers’ rights, environmental justice, expansion for youth programming, and the right for all to have equitable access to safe and healthy third spaces.
