I’ll say that working is not a crime. Being in this country is not a crime. The color of your skin is not a crime. And being an immigrant is not a crime. 5/

Immigrants ‘plucked out of line’ at citizenship ceremony at Faneuil Hall “the cradle of liberty”. If you ever claimed you want immigrants to do it the right way, this should outrage you. On the other hand, If you think this was okay, you need to come to terms with your white nationalist views.

It seems to me that what’s culturally normal in the United States is not getting into other people’s private business. It’s only weird obsessives like Gavin Newsom who want to poke around in people’s pants before letting them play sports or use the bathroom.

My eternal pet peeve with the world right now: Front end height is the largest determinant of pedestrian death by a significant factor. These things kill people for no reason. There is no magic thing you can do with modern vehicles, that we weren't doing in smaller vehicles in the 90s. Nothing.

I will not support this bill that completely fails to help Americans afford their health care. Trump and R’s have more than doubled Americans’ health care premiums, and for 40 days they have refused to lift a finger to do a thing about it. In fact, they’ve made it worse by taking food from kids.

Minority Whip Katherine Clark puts out a stinging statement on the senate deal. "A GOP budget that spikes health care premiums and everyday costs to fund tax cuts for billionaires is a grave betrayal of everyday Americans. That was true in July. It was true in September. And it remains true today."

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Does anyone know, in this deal that has been struck, what the status is on backdoor abortion bans and access to trans healthcare?

There’s no one I trust less than Donald Trump and Mike Johnson. Any deal that relies on Republicans to keep their word is a bad one. Democrats can’t give up on affordable health care for an empty promise. Minnesotans can’t afford for Democrats to cave.

This is incredibly important: we must frame tonight as a resounding victory — an electoral landslide, a mandate from the universe itself and as a repudiation of MAGA, of Trump, and of vichy democrats we must be relentless, we must not shut up

I’m asking everyone to vote for a new Mayor by Tuesday and rank all 3 of Omar Fateh, Dewayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton in whichever order you prefer. I’ve worked at City Hall for the last 4 years and from my personal experiences I believe the City desperately needs a new mayor. Long thread 🧵

Did you know that while the second MMR vaccine is typically administered at age 4, your child can get it sooner! You can get the second shot anytime at least 30 days after the first shot. The HPV vaccine is recommended for all genders and available as young as age 9. Get on it folks!

We deserve better than a leadership that lurches from crisis to crisis. Despite what Mayor Frey wants you to think, we don’t have to choose between permanent encampments or bulldozers. We deserve a leader who will meet this need with the compassion and urgency it requires. 5/5

I just did a three minute trip to the grocery store. The song playing majestically in the background was the Brittany classic "Lucky". As I zipped around the store, myself and at least a half dozen other elder millennials were belting along. It was magnificent. This is our time.
