Again: there's no evidence Trump understands what a trade deficit is. He consistently describes it as "a subsidy" to foreign countries, as them "ripping us off." He similarly doesn't understand those goods & services can't be replicated in the US at the same cost. Some can't be replicated at all.

Imagine the biggest problem in your life being about which bathroom a total stranger uses. Imagine pretending random people you'll never meet are somehow victimizing you with their existence. Imagine being that hard up for troubles that you have to invent them just so you can play the victim.

In 2025, "When they go low, we go high!" is the equivalent of taking a big swig of whiskey to "get rid" of the flu. It's no longer relevant. Different time. Different strategy. We adapt to the time or perish, holding on to nostalgia.

There is no difference between saying citizens and non-citizens can be deported without due process. This should be obvious, but let me explain. If there is no due-process, how do you prove you're a citizen? And to whom?

Yeah. For a lot of companies, their rational response to this isn't to build a domestic supply chain, it's "cut expenses as much as possible and wait out the next four years." That is not good for anybody.

The stupidity in Trump’s new tariffs is apparently limitless. He has introduced a 10% tariff on the British Indian Ocean Territory. The only inhabited island there is Diego Garcia, home to US service personnel. TRUMP HAS PUT A TARIFF ON A US MILITARY BASE 🤡

If the four senators who voted to end the Canada tariffs threatened to block the reconciliation bill unless the tariffs were rescinded, I think they’d have leverage to force Trump’s hand. Not that they would, but they could.
