I would add that Australia has been completely metric for decades (e.g. km, km/h, kg, etc.) unlike the UK's confusing hybrid approach with the legal use of imperial measurements, such as miles for road distances, mph for speed, pints for beer and milk, and stones for body weight.

Last year, I hired a car in Northern Ireland. I should have been able to switch the digital speedo from imperial to metric going into the Republic, but the rental company helpfully locked the settings, and I had to drive while attempting mental arithmetic. Did not like...

Not tested the app, but on the website, changing WIND SPEED UNITS to "Metres per second (m/s) or km/h" (via the cog icon at the top of the screen) still has no effect on display of wind gust speeds - they remain in mph. Also, inconsistent use of 12h/24h times. Why has 12h clock been introduced?

Main issues for me: No hourly wind gusts in main table. No option to change units, e.g. metric units for wind speed. In detailed sections and maps: no momentum scrolling or overscroll bounce effect, and scrolling only works if you swipe on icons or text.

I wish QI would decide if it’s a metric programme or an imperial one.

Today, being the 10th day of the 10th month, is National Metric Day in the USA.

I work with these type of measurements in my work but not in Imperial, no one on the planet, except the US, use Imperial in the design & construction industry. We use it then the press realase convert it back to Imperial. Pathetic really seeing the UK are a metric country officially. 🙄

This can still happen though, as the pressure for England to reduce urban speed limits is not going away. #Metric speed limits also have the added benefit that they provide highway authorities with a greater range of available speed limits to choose from.
