Congrats to all of the people who have worked so hard to brand Vancouver as "towers full of vacant luxury condominiums" I guess. Anyway, here's the map from 2025's Empty Homes Tax report. Once again, very little empty, with the mansion hoods in the SW leading the pack.

has basically outlawed single stair solutions because of opposition from FD. They’re basically landing on technicalities to deem most of them as commercial at this point, and the only one that went to council was rejected, despite it conforming to the OCP. Uphill battle still.

While the location of Hullo Ferries isn’t the best for walkability, the best way to get there is taking Evo Bikes. No paying for parking, no need for taxi, easy drop off. My 25 minute ride from home cost $3.50. And it’s a 100% car free trip to Vancouver.

For those not following what is happening here: 1. Cities banned family friendly infill housing for decades 2. The province stepped in and forced them to stop blocking them 3. Some family friendly homes got built 4. Cities immediately panicked and moved to block them again Incredible
