Cheap bikes are generally brilliant, and easy to get fixed up at a place like Nanaimo's Hub City Cycles.

I often get folks showing up in my timeline insisting that riding a bike on the road is perfectly fine - even safer - than riding in protected bike lanes. Yeah, no. Protected bike lanes enable families on the go. This is the Beach Avenue bikeway in Vancouver.

Just in case you weren’t sure how awful Doug ford is. The courts ruled against him based on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms because PEOPLE WILL DIE IF HE REMOVES SAFE BIKE INFRASTRUCTURE. So he’s considering ABUSING the Notwithstanding Clause just for ego and some cheap suburban votes.

It’s REALLY important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against downtown bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of the evidence that they are better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced. Bike-lanes mean business.

Absolutely disgusted that anybody would do this to a person, let alone a cyclist or a senior. I hope these people are caught and charged. 😡
