It's unfortunate this whole recent Bluesky thing has been over someone who's long done griftery things and been generally profiting off of pushing Doomerism, because it sucked to have to defend them when this started, and is deeply frustrating to find out she may have lied about the ban itself.

So here's the thing: It's reasonable for a mod (who is likely on the younger side) to have not caught this as a reference and responded accordingly. A short ban for that read is not unreasonable. @aaron.bsky.team's handling of this, though, given our loss of trust in T&S, was gas on a fire.
