Also: look up Zhang Shan. She won gold at the Barcelona Olympics in 1993 in skeet shooting. Skeet shooting had been a mixed gender event since the 60s, but after her win, they segregated the genders. And in the next Olympic Games, they literally didn’t even have a women’s skeet shooting category.
