I'm certain they are not aware. Instead of consulting their own moral compasses, they're going with a focus on affordability and missing just how enraged so many of us are over having the Gestapo on American streets.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

When someone is this deranged, it's inhumane to let them act out in public. I get that people are getting rich off him, including his family, but anyone who wasn't terrible would be getting him help instead of letting him devolve on the world stage.
