I watched the first episode of Fallout S2 last night, and Amazon peppered it with that fucking Virgin Experience Days advert that's comically AI generated. During a show that is a critical commentary on the dangers of breakthrough antithetical technology deployed by amoral corporations.

Everything about AI is the worst thing about AI, but the worst thing for me is its tone of chipper flattery ("You're right!"), a tone that people apparently love to hear directed at them. I feel like a mutant because every time people talk like that to me I start looking for the hidden knife.

On this day in 1978, #TheCure released their debut single "Killing an Arab". It was inspired by "The Stranger", the first novel published by #AlbertCamus, #NobelPrize winning author and philosopher, but for those unaware has always seemed a controversial title.
