Happy Birthday to the late, great songwriter Leonard Cohen, born this day in 1934. Influential on so many subsequent artists but particularly Andrew Eldritch who in part named The Sisters of Mercy after one of Cohen's songs from 1967. Eldritch interviewed Cohen in 1994, giving us this great photo.

On this day 26 years ago, #NineInchNails released their third studio album "The Fragile". A formidable 1 hour 45 minutes long, this double album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in the US, earning NIN their first No. 1 spot. The album went double platinum in 2000.
