Had a wonderful weekend at Grindfest. Watching old genre films on 35mm in an art deco cinema does the soul good. Highlights included, Videodrome American Psycho New York Ninja Brainscan The Quiet Earth And T2, which I saw on the big screen last year, but this was a better showing.

Luto was a lovely surprise. More Edith Finch than P.T. and that makes it an intriguing intersection between indie first-person horror and peak 2010s indie narrative adventures. Different enough, but a great 2025 cross-media companion to Steven Soderbergh's Presence in terms of Ghost stories.

I think replaying Resi games recently didn't help. Got into its groove now and making steadier progress. Sometimes, I forget you still have to learn a game's systems no matter how many you've played before, lol.
