god i fucking *wish* rpgs didn't need art i write like a dozen games a year. i 'release' a new game in a way that matters maybe once every two years. by volume, i'm not a game designer, i'm a clip studio and indesign toucher. game design is barely a blip. it's fucking miserable.

Was asked what my favorite mechanic was in Mooncroft Manor (www.backerkit.com/c/projects/c...) and I thought I'd talk about it here too! Specifically: the way this game treats research and discovery as a source of social tension is extremely fun and really drives play.

I backed this and you should too! I am at least honest in my biases from helping playtest! Excellent structure of play and resolution, great for PBP or at the table, absolutely stellar for making a nuanced, complicated ambitious little freak and putting them in a situation. Check it out!
