I think this is also where the solution lies: instead of embedding a link, embed a bsky/mu post, a semble collection. I saw someone embed their currently playing @teal.fm song. In the golden days everyone has their latest Twitter post embedded, no need for a twitter profile link.

imo we desperately need to figure out moderation/filtering on ATproto. A single bad actor can fuck up all open Semble collections in like 2 seconds and we have zero remedy. Right now we are still a friendly corner of the Internet, but it's not going to stay that way forever.

You can almost certainly get a fully rigged model from a single image. Scales exponentially in quality from there for a while. Such models can be used to produce convincing video, including editing. Especially combining with diffusion. We are so fucked

For pride month: it's very very very easy to just default to they/them when you don't know others pronouns. It's not perfect, but a lot better than defaulting to he/him. And to be honest it's also very low commitment. I don't think I've gotten complaints since I started, except maybe once or twice.

Arguably we should be able to put in more thought into our code (our products?), but seems we're not doing it. Maybe a parallel to how we should have more time for studies and art and whatever and instead we have short form videos. Putting either of those failings on individuals seems short sighted.
