It's quite interesting to read newspaper advertisements from the 1930s, some of them had quite abit of wit. Like this one in the 20 April 1932 edition of The Advertiser (SA). #history 🗃️

As well as everything else, this is an attack on working class expression and opportunity. The public school crowd will still get training and careers in the arts. This is a Labour government telling working class creatives to know their place and not get any funny ideas.

There’s a scene in the dystopian sci-fi movie Minority Report where Tom Cruise’s character is riding in an autonomous vehicle that gets remotely commandeered by the police to bring him into custody. The audience is supposed to see this as flagrant disregard for privacy and due process.

Did a little Highland adventure last week and went to Culloden battlefield, furthest northern point I’ve ever been 🐻‍❄️. Excellent guide interpretation at the site and honestly a very moving historical experience even though to be honest there’s not much there to be seen.
