Hundreds of veterans gathered in Washington Square Park today, marching against billionaire control of the US government on the very day we mark 250 years of independence. They didn't serve to watch democracy get auctioned off — and today, they said so, out loud, together.

More "why the fuck aren't we doing this?" for you, it would take the Shanghai Maglev train 10ish hours to go from New York to Los Angeles. A trip that takes our best train 3 days. To put it in perspective, the same trip on a plane takes 9 hours, factoring in the airport, tsa, boarding, etc.

There has been a massive uptick in ICE kidnappings in Washington State. We know why. Researchers at The University of Washington have been tracking these illegal kidnappings and the data that is helping ICE surveil and stalk people. This data is being shared with the feds. Mostly by local cops.

At some Thanksgiving dinner in the 1970s, my mother led the prayer and thanked God that we had the best country in history. I said, "What if we only think that because we were born here. Maybe we think our country and religion are the best just because we were told that." She didn't approve.
