People say this is an old wives tale, but you know what? The old wives have this one, they are absolutely correct.

Donald Trump is a feebleminded, frail old bigot with no redeeming qualities, who is unsuited for any office, let alone the presidency. I am superior to him in every respect, as is every person I’ve ever met. Anyone who treats him as a model of virility or statesmanship ought to be laughed at.

When you think about the courage, determination, and blood shed by the people who brought us the progress we have lived with our whole lives, I really do believe it’s self evident we don’t have the moral right to give up.

People sometimes say marches, rallies, etc. are not worthwhile because they are ignored by the media. This is a misunderstanding: marches let us see and recognize one another, and allow us to demonstrate our numbers to others. They are a show of actually existing strength.

A lot to say about this, but one thing is that the Professor in question was a lecturer, and thus did not have tenure. The destruction of academic freedom is inextricably linked to the loss of worker protection in the university.

I'd like to see some reporting on this, I do think it's quite clear they can't be everywhere and doing everything at once and we need to be able to document clear signs of withdrawal from particular fronts, or else it'll feed the perception that they ARE everywhere and doing everything

every day i see hundreds of comments of people spinning elaborate scenarios to explain how trump can control everything and all opposition is futile. a) i think a lot of you need to log off and stop following professional doomsayers. b) i think a lot of you are cowards

this should become a thing, putting up signs like this for every arrest & disappearance in public spaces. it would likely break into lower info, less politically engaged demos and local social media groups

In this degraded and degrading era, one of the few bright spots has been the courage and decency of ordinary people.
