The whole label of SEND is problematic. Lumping together a myriad of separate complex needs into a catch all term is a recipe for genericism

It is just as important, in my experience, for school leaders to make sure they are stopping initiatives that haven't worked, before they start to implement anything new.

Some schools have layer upon layer of failed initiatives, still clogging up workload and teachers' time, that need to be peeled away before you can get to the nub of what really needs improving.

If inclusion means doing what we have good evidence for all children better with the most vulnerable kids this will work. If it means mainstreaming common adaptations for supposedly "different" children we have little evidence for it will be a disaster. I am very nervous about the direction.

I’m not a fortune teller and am not in the business of making predictions - but this war is not currently trending in favour of the US/Israel. Iran’s regime can sustain overwhelming losses and still emerge as pyrrhic victors by simply outlasting the bombardment.

We are two weeks into this US-Israeli war on Iran and I still have no idea what their theory of victory is. The Iranian regime’s - survival - is not only clear, it is also achievable on a timeline that includes ramping up the economic cost for the west.
