3) Finally the judge calls him up and says "You cited the right statute - but that's not the content. And the other references are correct, but they don't say what you think they say. Did you use ChatGPT to help write this?" The guy says "well it helped ..."

4) At which point the judge bounces him, tells him to come back with a properly written brief, because if she rules against him *right now*, she'll find him responsible for lawyers fees. Including the three hours he just wasted of the other lawyers time.

5) He stormed out, even though my Dad and the other lawyers offered to help him, because honestly, they just want the case settled. My Dad's not really in it to win big these days, just help people through the paperwork, etc.

6) So his first experience was "a colossal waste of time that could have been handled in 15 minutes by a legal aid clinic kid." ... that also happens to be propping up the entire US economy. We're cooked, chat 6/6

Trying to figure out how the opposing lawyer in this case or any lawyer for that matter can spend all these years getting a degree in law and then half-ass everything with AI when they do the job. Somebody's paying for their services and they're too lazy to do the work.
