Happens so much in gaming now. Yes, video games have always adopted new tech, and AI like machine learning has been a part of that. Hell, Rogue used generative algorithms in the 80s. But the use of GenAI in gaming is new, and quite different. Although companies using it love to say it isn't.

This month just WILL NOT STOP. Sanabi came out two years ago and was a massive hit, and this DLC is just coming out of nowhere. If you haven't played it, it's a fantastic grappling-hook/physics-heavy platformer that's structured and paced like a great thriller movie.

Made an incredible discovery for language learning: Chrono Trigger DS lets you access the options menu to change the langauge *mid-dialogue box*. If you're having trouble with a line you can double-check the official localization without even closing the dialogue box. Feels very rare.

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice. They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.
