Every issue of Absolute Batman defies me to to continue with it. I’m interested in the art and momentum of the thing. The art is consistent but the writing…it’s by turns obtuse (the villains powers) or on the nose (Bruce’s circle of villain friends).

How important is a Logo? The choice to use the original logo absolutely makes this cover. I wonder who designed it

Just back from Valencia. These might not be the exact doors but near as damn it.

Caught sight of the cover of DC Comic’s Who’s Who: Volume 2 and it just didn’t feel right. Then I twigged it was Brian Bolland’s art from 1990’s Who’s Who folder. Only it’s been tweaked, & not, it looks, by Mr Bolland: else why the Art Adams Lightray? How can I put this? I prefer the original.

Just discovered The Beef on Netflix. Really interesting reflections on mental health all stemming from a road rage incident. Cast of diverse Asian Americans is interesting to see. David Choe appears playing a fictional character that strongly resembles the vibe I got from his Kayfabe appearances

I saw Mario 2. A lot of hate for it I see (40%🍅). I thought it was going to be Mario returning to Sicily on the run from Bowser only returning after his actions in 1. Assumed Toad’d shoot Luigi while in a row boat. Turns out is was pretty Mario fan service with some good gags and no plot, for kids!!

This Dale Keown Punisher from The Incredible Hulk blew my young mind. I copied and traced it, drew Snake-Eyes and Maverick over the top. Loved it. Mark Farmer inks and Glynis Oliver colours
