A recent Johnny Hazard pick up. 10/12/57 by the great Frank Robbins. After I won it I went to pull out the hardcover collection to read the storyline it was from and discovered that the last panel was used as the cover!

A couple of penciled pages by Steve Ditko from Amazing Spider-Man #31. Ditko's pencils are rarer than hens' teeth, but Marie Severin saved copies of the entire issue, bless her. I especially love the shots of Spider-Man which reveal Ditko's strong understanding of anatomy. Beautiful work.

A Johnny Hazard Sunday page by the great Frank Robbins I picked up recently. The top panel is a winner with a beautiful shot of another great Robbins character design so confidently cool you want to follow her adventures in her own strip. I also love the dramatic lighting in the 2nd and 4th panels.

Frank Robbins illustration 1975. In the 60ās writing 2 different stories for the Sunday and daily strips caught up to him so he hired Liss to help him generate stories. Robbins often reworked the stories as he drew but liked Lissā work and ended up illustrating several books with Liss in the 70ās.

A page by the late Jorge Zaffino from his character Wolf. This is the page he gifted to Al Williamson when I drove Jorge along with Ricardo and Carlos Villagran up to visit Al in his Honesdale studio. The talent in that studio that day, along with Bret Blevins was staggering!

No, say it louder. It's absolute bullshit how Across the Spider-Verse made over $300 million in profit, yet neither Marvel nor Sony could be bothered to defray the hospital bills of the man who co-created Miguel O'Hara. Instead they left his wife and family scrambling to afford to live.
