It's never too late to start wearing a mask again! Wear them in public, in almost any context but especially when you're indoors, when 50%+ others present aren't masking, if you're in close physical proximity with others, and/or if there's scant ventilation (including lack of wind outdoors).

You do not have to accept repeat Covid infections as inevitable. Mitigations work. Layers work best. Get your booster. Clean & ventilate the air. Test and stay home when sick. Perhaps most important of all, wear a well fitted N95. It protects you & those around you. Community care can save us!

I think we can put to rest the notion that offshore wind turbines spoil views and economies. The fact is that they can make coastal sites far more interesting and boost tourism as people travel to experience them, sometimes even up close. Boat tours to see the turbines are "surprisingly popular."

Perhaps more significant, the revolting word here - "squalid" - used in Starmer's speech today seems as provocative and as significant as Thatcher's notorious comment about Britain being "rather swamped" by migrants in 1978. Then, as now, it was a Powellite dog whistle. We are truly in hell.
