Normally I don't really engage much in these discussions but I so whole heartedly disagree with the premise of "don't join a team when you're low level" that I wanted to say something. Nothing would minimize or kill the scene faster than this.

saying that nobody should join/make a team until high level is just crazy talk. this is a team game. you can work on solo mechs on your own all you'd like but teamwork is the most vital component imo. good teammates encourage one another to improve, without them it's hard to keep that motivation
