I am of belief you need to be one of your biggest fans when it comes to your work. If you can't celebrate your own work, it will be hard to get anyone else to feel the same way.

The problem with 'name and shame' is that sexism is so endemic to the games industry you'll just be called difficult/a paranoid bitch/someone who needs to watch her step if you say anything. And often our female colleagues are alongside the problematic men disbelieving our complaints

Been feeling real burnt out on games as of late, but I am so jazzed for this. Love the .hack series!

I genuinely think North American game dev is broken. While I do think there is stagnation, games don't stand a chance to not result in layoffs if they aren't doing millions right out the gate.

Hard not to be disappointed by this, man. I already settled not buying it with the casting decisions, but it seems to be justified. I really enjoyed the original Y3 and thought it was one of the stronger narratives. Seeing the series sour its own reputation by its own hands is brutal to witness.

A review is an op-ed by definition. You’re just upset at the criteria being used.

Honeymoon in Japan! Had an amazing couple of weeks exploring and taking photos, my husband driving around Lake Ashi, riding the Shinkansen, eating a ton of good food, capsule machines, and drinking so much canned coffee.

Brian Eno Calls On Microsoft To Cease Partnership With Israel, Will Donate Windows ‘95 Chime Fee To Victims In Gaza
Art-music master Brian Eno is the composer of what might be one of the most-heard pieces of music in history, even if much of the world doesn’t necessarily process it as a piece of music. Eno made the...

I bought a Supernote! I’m still getting used to it, but I got the Nomad and the size works perfectly for me. I think it’s going to be really fun sketching with this!

Finished FFXIV Endwalker tonight... I got me very emotional at moments, and now I'll never be able to listen to Close in the Distance again without crying a ton. I've really loved my time with this game.

Heero adores the snow! It was hard moving to a place that only gets one snowfall a year, but it makes it so exciting when it happens.

You have to be your own biggest fan of your work. You should celebrate it. Sometimes it's so hard to do, but if you can't celebrate your own work, it'll be hard pressed to get anyone else to.

the really important thing about resisting automatically generated stat sheets that services give you is that numbers mean nothing without ~why~. exercise learning to talk about music & why you like it, not just "because i listened to it a lot" or "it's peak". these are skills you can develop!!

Every year, Spotify Wrapped becomes something that feels actively hostile to the enjoyment of music, now with more blatant data mining to train AI. which is bad enough, but also remember that Spotify CEO Daniel Ek is a primary investor in an AI predator drone company
