She gave fascinating insight into what makes "good" art direction, Yōtei's colour motifs, the Indigenous Ainu representation, what she hopes to convey to the player after visiting Japan, and more.

Happy Hades 2, Silent Hill f and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Day to all who celebrate. Can’t remember the last time we had such a stacked and varied single-day release lineup. Pretty neat. (What do we call this? HadesRacingHill? SilentHadesRacing? Barbenheimer 3.0?)

Ghost of Yōtei is a solid, if overly familiar, sequel. For better and worse, it has many of the same strengths and weaknesses as Tsushima. Thankfully, Atsu’s emotional journey and the top-notch exploration ultimately leave it on a high note. My full @mobilesyrup.com review:

FWIW, I’ve long said Tactics is my third-favourite Final Fantasy after VII and VI, and I stand by that now. Such a timeless masterpiece, and this is the definitive version of it. (Even if I do really miss Balthier.) One of the best games of all time just got even better!

Doing 22 movies in the span of 10 days for TIFF really cemented why I've gravitated more to films over games lately. Just thinking about how I watched that entire (extremely varied) lineup in pretty much the same time it would take to beat one (1) average JRPG, open-world or action-adventure game.

Got to try the new Meta Oakley Vanguard glasses. While I am *clearly* no athlete, I was really impressed by its sleekness and array of fitness features. The second-gen Ray-Bans are definitely more my speed (I'll have more on those down the line), but I can totally see the appeal of the Vanguard.

Checked out the Meta Ray-Ban Display yesterday and was pretty impressed. I have some reservations, like the size of the in-lens display itself and the eventual Canadian pricing, but it’s a solid step into the next generation of smart glasses. Full preview:
