Two pictures from the sea in #Brighton on Wednesday. The beach was packed, and everyone was smiling for the first time in about three months. Went for a swim after work, watched the birds, saw a few friendly faces up there on the pier and cycled home without getting rained on. More of this please.

High point of the book tour so far: suggesting on Radio 4 that billionaires be hunted for sport and not having one person disagree.

Riding a cargo bike down Brighton's hills in torrential rain. Weaving round floating wheelie bins and hidden potholes like a budget bobsled run.

This is very sad, and very relatable. This is the hardest Christmas I've seen during 11 years of trading in #Brighton.

When I was a child the future was all electric trousers, hoverdogs, tiny meals on miniature plates & redistribution of wealth. Disappointed.
