Another big assault by the federal agents. Tear gas, flash bangs, I don't know what else. People panic, scatter. Pushed all the way back to the highway. I can hear calls for medics.

Suddenly: tremendous amount of gas and pepper balls fill the road. People running, canisters exploding.

Things are calm again. People are coughing from lingering chemical irritants in the air, but the federal agents have been behind their side of the fence for about 20 minutes, while the crowd gather nearby listening to one protestor gives a speech.

Per witness, Steve was filming an arrest when feds knocked a group of people backwards and grabbed him. She says it appeared targeted to her since he had been filming CBP interaction with the protester from start to finish.

Immediately before this arrest at the Broadview ICE facility, I recorded agents talking about a guy who had told them “go kill yourselves.” They pointed towards this guy who was standing on the sidewalk and not interfering, and rushed over to arrest him.

Assisted by ATF agents here, CBP just rushed out of the gate and immediately into the crowd to seize safety gear (umbrellas, shields) from protesters. Loaded them into this truck. Saw feds tackle and arrest one person between parked cars.
