olympus is the story of a camera company who was terrible with money and continuously shot themselves in the foot with their own autistic tendencies. very relatable

now he is sadly dead I think we can all come together and finally admit that the Hockney-Falco thesis is completely, obviously correct and was suppressed by Big Art Critic because it made them feel bad

on accident, the sdQuattro kinda changed the way I think about night photography. the ability to shoot full spectrum with ultra-vivid infrared and maintain visible colors via artificial lighting might be one of the few things that makes foveon truly unique...

A mature and juvenile Bald Eagle fight over access to an elk carcass in Montana's Bitterroot Valley as a Black-billed Magpie looks flies away from the action. This photo was recognized in the Audubon Society's "Best of Bird Behavior" selections from the 2025 Audubon Photography Awards

the Olympus E1 deserves to be remembered as one of the best cameras ever made. it contains so much love and care, it's an object composed of pure joy.

I need to warn every person who see this and thinks "wow, I need an sdQuattro!" to stop, get some help, you are better than this, this camera will consume your soul while giving you eye and wrist pain you didn't know was possible, the software required for these images will hurt you mentally

ok, I've just tried the best digital camera I've ever held. I don't even have words for how to describe the experience. it's not *technically* the best, but if cameras were rated by joy, this is on top.
