I think it is important to state that China isn't any different from other countries when it comes to rampant misinformation online. In H1 2025 alone there were 1,600+ investigations into false medical advertising cases for example. The above is a good start, but what matters is implementation.

To add clarity to this: Influencers in China that discuss topics such as medicine, law, education, or finance must prove they are qualified or certified to do so, in an aim to clamp down on misinformation. Right now it impacts large influencer accounts (1m+ followers) + bans false advertising.
