I _did not_ appreciate Mahler making me jump out of my skin with the final orchestral crash of _Das klagende Lied_ as I was carefully touching up the beak. That could have gone so very wrong indeed. ๐ฌ๐ (The head without the frill is about 4cm long.)

This has always sort of been my de facto logo because I printed it on my envelopes. It's a self portrait of me as a tyrannosaur trying my hardest to sculpt a self portrait out of cardboard, popsicle sticks and toilet paper tubes.

This book - Ross et al. 1989, published by Merehurst - came out when I was a teenager and cost around ยฃ20. That was a fortune to me at the time and I had no hope of ever buying it. Obviously, I eventually did. It's a fantastic book and I still use it often.
