Let’s stop softening the language. The pregnant detainees in the Texas ICE camp are children. They are not “young women.” They are minors. If pregnancies occurred while they were detained, every ICE officer must be investigated for child sexual assault. These children must be freed.

Royer Perez-Jimenez was just 19 years old. He was denied his freedom, isolated from his family, and forced to endure inhumane conditions. Now he is the 46th person to die in ICE custody under this administration.
