As long as people are wishing for things, I think a good step for the Canadian government to take would be to introduce some kind of policy of specially allowed entry and/or asylum for transgender U.S. citizens who are being denied passports and are therefore effectively trapped in the country

Regarding disability in history: honestly, are we even doing this? "All Life is Struggle" is Nazi bullshit. In reality, throughout history, people live in communities and *other people in your community* are largely a) your assistive tech and b) your hedge against disaster.

It took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out when I was 21, but once I had there was an obvious answer, both in terms of what I was thinking about and listening to the most at the time and in terms of what has held up.
