Angry leftists demand that you be better, which makes you feel bad about yourself, while angry Nazis demand that you be worse, which makes you feel good about yourself, and that, I think, is why so many reasonable-seeming people still prefer the Nazi site. (And some just turn out to be Nazis.)

I'm not a large account here, and was never a large account on Twitter but I do get more engagement here than I did there, and I post all the time about how annoying you all are so you don't even have to be nice to people here. It's just a skill issue.

This is exactly right. The Onion quietly left Twitter a month ago and... our weekly subscribers went up. It's because we're doing well here, on Instagram and on YouTube. As a business, being on Twitter is somewhere between useless or detrimental, unless you're selling boner pills.
