It was always a thing during consulting. For all the games I’ve consulted on, I’m in. Dry few credits sections. There was a time where consultants were included, but only if you nagged or had it in your contract. Incomplete credits are a disservice to everyone who contributed.

20 years ago I was active in writers groups on LiveJournal and had a bunch of friends from those groups. Now some of them have books out, some are semi-famous, and some (like me) are still trudging along building a platform. 😅
