Currently designing the new flag for (Still tentatively named Nu-WKF) and I'm a bit sad the blue I intended for the flag to inherit from the old WKF flag doesn't really fit with any greens I want to use.

As for post-Cataclysm Kerbin, there's now more than just 11 generic states and an international zone. Some of the first non-Nu-WKF "nations" are not nations but the equivalent of internationally recognized territory made up of anarchist communes with borders defined by the rest of the world. 1/12

So, for the old world setting this all descends from. It has no official name except Pre-Cataclysm Kerbin. The nation followed was the WKF, West Kerbin Federation. It was a US stand-in, had a kinda love/hate relationship with the China stand-in of the setting, the KRWN. Important stuff in alt text.

So now that Minmus is shiny, I get to work on the install proper finally. This means I have time to scan biomes which means I can start getting the proper geopolitcal map made. But I also kinda want to do it based off the visual one since there are "non-country" areas where nobody lives.

I haven't talked much about KSP lately and the reason why is I'm kinda between projects. I've got one thing I'm not super happy on currently and I'm trying to fix. For now, Kerbin sits in a state of Cataclysm as the world is being reshaped. Some may call what happens to the planet a calamity.

On another note, with recent very cold weather in PA, I wonder if the Delaware froze over. I used to live close to it and remember years ago walking up to it and see what's otherwise a pretty wide river just completely covered in ice. One of the defining moments of growing up wintertime for me.

So there's this one map I worked on in Halo Infinite's Forge mode and it has this ladder where I'd argue it's a bit fucked up and evil. As for why it's a ladder and not just rocks, I actually made it as an homage to the one on trail going up to Pemetic from Jordan Pond in Acadia Natl. Park in Maine.

Working on a new KSP install and I am very confused at how some of my customs modifications to my old install happened but also completely find making up new ones and adding/removing configs to make (more or less) the perfect install to last me into the foreseeable future barring new major mods.

Update: Survived an Alert Level 30 Fleet Hunt. How? Don't know. Time spent? Like 40 minutes. Sector D2 turned an arcade flight game into a bullet hell somehow.

This is what I meant by the real Project Wingman experience. 50 contrails, 20 FPS max.

The real Project Wingman experience is seeing your frames drop real time as in Conquest mode there's somehow like 15 airships, all your allies, and double as many enemies flying around and 2/3 of the screen is just the contrails and missiles. I did not get my Level 30 Red Alert achievement.

Haven't been able to get on KSP lately to play but might as well share this LV. The Typhon-H as it's called, it is the core of a Typhon medium-lift launch vehicle with six strap-on solid rocket motors. Two are of lower thrust and burn longer and higher in the atmosphere.

I've had a distinct lack of KSP due to being a little dissatisfied with my save file these days and wondering if I should modify the Kerbol system further. In the meantime have some screenshots from Helldivers 2, Project Wingman, and Halo Infinite. Alt text has a little more to each pic.

If I had a nickle for every time I landed an unpowered spacecraft (As in no control over where it landed, both have electrical power) on a rock either in flight or just testing, I'd have 2 nickles which isn't a lot but kind of funny it's happened twice.

To welcome the new year, the West Kerbin Federation launch KORP-XVI on their new air-launched Harpy rocket. The craft separated around 24km up and at 400m/s. For first launch, it performed remarkably well. Engineers looking at the flight pattern also assume they could do a higher alt sep next time.

A successful second (3rd in reality, the idea of 2 overwrote that) flight of the Shenzhou capsule from the Kolist People's Republic of West Nauk. Taikonauts Song Kai and Xiao Shu became dual first Kerbals from the KPR in space. Perhaps some day they will join WKF astronauts on a joint mission?
