This is a very important issue. The success rate of proposals is so low that people spend all their time, writing proposals and not doing actual science. Another way science is broken.

I really don't think this is a great narrative to promote. It's not as if climate scientists haven't been very vocal about the risks associated with climate change/global warming and just because it *might* be faster than some kind of best estimate doesn't imply "confused".

It is past time that all PhD students were treated as employees, not students. Yes it's expensive, and it will probably mean fewer studentships, but it's not right to deny people employment rights like sick pay, parental leave and pension contributions at the very beginning of their careers

You love to see it. Hydro storage in NZ is near its nominal maximum. Average renewable percentage for the last week is 96 percent. Right now, we're generating more power from solar than from gas.
