Do y'all notice how a lot of gamers disregard any nuance when talking about video games lately? It's like a game is the BEST EVER or "TRASH", they're either a 10 or a 1. But even saying a game is "mid" has a negative flair to it Maybe I'm just out of touch, but it all feels kinda overreactive

100 years ago isn't what it used to be. I remember when 100 years ago was all Tchaikovsky and bustles. 100 years ago now they had commercial air travel and Cadbury's Flakes

That's the thing. Jesus' biggest adversaries were constantly trying fo enact morality laws. Perhaps they believed forcing people to obey their rules would bring everyone closer to God. (April Ajoy - Star-Spangled Jesus)

This week, Brexit finally killed our family business. We cleared out our warehouse, handed back the keys, paid the final bills and said goodbye to our last employee. What was once a thriving firm died a slow, sad death, all thanks to Farage, Johnson and the gullible idiots they conned. 1/18

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’
Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits Achieving the UK’s net zero target by 2050 will cost less than a single oil shock and bring health and economic benefits while insulating the country against future costs, the government’s climate advisers have forecast. Eliminating the UK’s reliance on fossil fuels by adopting renewable energy and green technologies, such as electric vehicles and heat pumps, would be the best and most cost-effective option for the future economy, the Climate Change Committee (CCC) found. Today I’m thinking that somewhere out there is a pensions advisor who loves their job so much they refuse to retire It may sound absurd, but all these YouTube pension advisors are really looking like they love advising people on pensions & this guy looks old enough to have retired early already

My first job was coding c programs on a VAX terminal. Bizarrely, there was a keyboard shortcut in the editor that would reorganise your entire source file in alphanumeric order. Thus rendering your program useless. No undo lol!
