On the one hand, it’s an affront that these people are here at all. On the other, it brings me some small degree of pleasure that they get jeered and harassed everywhere they go. Nobody in DC wants them here, and they know it.

Homeless outreach sources tell me the feds will lead a citywide encampment clearing tonight. MLK Library, where many folks congregate, is expected to be among the targets. The fear is that the feds may start arresting people as part of this. D.C.'s shelters are full: Many will have no place to go.
