I am as guilty as others at times, but I think we need to focus our energy on our enemies and not on people who are broadly on our side. An unknown cartoonist who drew an anti-EHRC cartoon for The Guardian should not be called “scum” and whatnot. It might feel good, but it doesn’t help.

Extremely nervous waiting for the EHRC guidance to drop this week (if it even does). Feels like a shit version of Christmas, where instead of a nice stocking full of chocolate, Father Christmas is going to give me a "banned" sign from all toilets, cos as a cis passing trans guy no one wants me!

This just confirms what so many of us have felt: that the UK is becoming a steadily less safe, less inclusive place to live for LGBTQ+ folks, esp trans folks. The peak in 2015 feels like a very different time now...

Really interesting topic. It's important that trans men (like all men) recognise and try to challenge our male privilege. But also important that the wider discourse doesn't forget trans men massively impacted by misogyny too e.g. with health care and lack of control over our bodies.

Some blue sky for BlueSky! The world is very heavy and strange: how weird that I can sit here and just read, while a rocket orbits the moon and war rages and diversity is once again a dirty word. Everything feels out of time, out of orbit. And yet, I am here, sun on my skin, trans and happy.
