Really? Surely the most important budget savings are those areas that, unlike #NDIS, are of dubious or no benefit. Such as: - #AUKUS and other dodgy 'defence procurement' - Tax breaks for multiple property owners - Fossil fuel subsidies, and untaxed gas - Super tax concessions for the wealthy.

And as I have noted before, there are a lot of flaws with the NDIS. Those of us on it, and those who need support but are excluded, are the people who know what those flaws are and how to fix them. None of it includes restricting support.

One thing to keep in mind with the NDIS, if the costs weren’t collected under that one banner the same costs would be incurred under a range of banners. If a council provided one service and a hospital provided another, the cost would be the same. Doing both under the NDIS doesn’t alter the cost.

The 25th can only be invoked by the vice president and a majority of the cabinet. Congress can vote to impeach, and then the Senate would have to convict. Not saying the pressure on congress is wrong, but asking them to invoke the 25th gives them an easy "not our job" out.
