If you are in the metro this Sunday, please join us for a roll down Summit Ave. The adopted Regional Trail Plan is at risk because of the small wealthy group of homeowners who oppose this being a safer corridor. Meet at 1pm at the WWI Memorial.

I grew up selling popcorn door to door as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, but we often struggled because it was never quite as popular as Girl Scout cookies. Love to see that some troops are trying out new things like selling local coffee instead! Bought myself two bags š

The first time I thought about being mayor was two years ago when I was in a jury for a murder and I heard first-hand how the police department failed to investigate a non-fatal shooting that then led to a fatal shooting. Iām glad St. Paul has implemented this, but Iām disappointed how long it took.

Glad someone dug into this a bit more! I was a bit annoyed when
@kaohlyforstp.bsky.social
said she found out who the owner was in 5 minutes. If you see āSCP 2005-C21-045 LLCā as the owner and donāt ask anymore questions about it, youāre not asking enough questions.

Abundance, in this vision, means making sure people have the tools and flexibility to respond to housing stress in their own place. Itās about equipping neighbors to be active participants in solving housing problems, not passive subjects of markets or policies designed elsewhere.

A disproportionate # of people w/a disability depend on non-car mobility. For folks in a wheelchair, temp regulation is especially critical and challenging. Every bus stop without a shelter in Minnesota is a policy failure. Shade and warmth are not luxuries.

When you have unproductive developments, the sales tax has to make up for that unproductivity. But when you have productive land use, that sales tax acts like a multiplier. Which would you rather have?

So by this logic we should close every Interstate highway within Minneapolis and Saint Paul along with all streets and intersections with demonstrated histories of traffic-induced fatalities and injuries. These are also examples of dangerous public infrastructure. SHUT THEM DOWN

When looking at places to live in Saint Paul under 1000 sqft, there are currently almost 10 times as many rentals available as places people can buy (1,430/151 - Zillow). The places people can afford to own are being withheld by the rich in order to exploit us for profit. 70% of renters want to own.

Having an intuitive understanding of when a city project costs too much is useless as a candidate because people will simply not believe you, but itās an invaluable skill I would have as a mayor that none of the other candidates have.

We could just do this at the city level too! St. Paul is losing the battle of attracting families to the city. We need to do more things that make our city a more desirable place to live long term.

If want downtown, any downtown, to be a place for ppl before 8:30am and after 5:30pm making is āplaygroundā for suburbanites aināt it. You do that by making it a neighborhood where people can actually live. And just for the rich, but for working families as well!

idk about you, but I really donāt think giving $40,000 to a car wash for a new sign is a good use of public funds. This picture was taken today, 10 months after the 2024 STAR program funding was passed. Wonder when that new sign is going in?
