The first time I thought about being mayor was two years ago when I was in a jury for a murder and I heard first-hand how the police department failed to investigate a non-fatal shooting that then led to a fatal shooting. I’m glad St. Paul has implemented this, but I’m disappointed how long it took.

I know we can’t legally annex Falcon Heights, but can they just give us the other side of Como so we can turn on the lights at night?

When you have unproductive developments, the sales tax has to make up for that unproductivity. But when you have productive land use, that sales tax acts like a multiplier. Which would you rather have?

So by this logic we should close every Interstate highway within Minneapolis and Saint Paul along with all streets and intersections with demonstrated histories of traffic-induced fatalities and injuries. These are also examples of dangerous public infrastructure. SHUT THEM DOWN

When looking at places to live in Saint Paul under 1000 sqft, there are currently almost 10 times as many rentals available as places people can buy (1,430/151 - Zillow). The places people can afford to own are being withheld by the rich in order to exploit us for profit. 70% of renters want to own.

Having an intuitive understanding of when a city project costs too much is useless as a candidate because people will simply not believe you, but it’s an invaluable skill I would have as a mayor that none of the other candidates have.

We could just do this at the city level too! St. Paul is losing the battle of attracting families to the city. We need to do more things that make our city a more desirable place to live long term.

Siphoning public funds into private businesses is one of the greatest scams of the century and is why the terms “public-private partnership” and “revitalization” are often immediate red flags to me.

If want downtown, any downtown, to be a place for ppl before 8:30am and after 5:30pm making is “playground” for suburbanites ain’t it. You do that by making it a neighborhood where people can actually live. And just for the rich, but for working families as well!
