the NEA cuts are devastating, no doubt. but I have a different perspective about these changes. when has bureaucracy been a catalyst for good art? when has a government truly aligned itself with the creation and maintenance of art? who does the NEA serve beyond the privileged?

The lit world is having another one of its extinction level events with the loss of funding for so many lit mags and orgs but that's exactly why it's the right time to become a writer! Start screaming with us!
