This morning’s story, from BASS of the Century, was “The Interior Castle,” by Jean Stafford, 1947, from The Partisan Review. My god. What a story. I marked it all up. Absolutely brilliant. Drawn from her actual experience after a car accident. Stupendous writing. One I will reread and study.
