Talking to my boss while we are on the flight... I really enjoy this level of in the field consulting... Evidentially customers like having onsite help on projects! I like not being in Texas. Kuala Lumpur...Jakarta... we're headed your way soon! If I can see an exit plan... prison is tolerable.

Americans are really loud in public.

Some people find inspiration in people… some in the landscape… I find shapes and colors to be fascinating. Stop for a moment and find the amazing beauty in everyday life. It’s everywhere. You just have to see it.

There’s no vision so clear as seeing your country from a distance… The US is so lost… so very broken… What’s worse is that the world has lost confidence in us… once that trust is gone… It’s going to take decades to recover… if ever. Probably going to get “detained” for this when I get back…

So begins my deep depression about having to return to the US. There’s a whole world out here that’s not obsessed with being mean to each other… I’ve had a wonderful time in the fresh air… and tomorrow I’ll be on a plane back to a “home” that feels more like a prison… I’m not ready to go.

Things the modern world (and me) cannot comprehend: writing a check. No encryption. No 2FA. No app. No validation. No verification. Just a piece of paper. That you signed… with just a pen. …and they gave you stuff in return. Wow.

I’m really going to miss my early morning runs along the streets and canals of Hamburg. This is an incredible city… It was the least anticipated destination on my trip… but it’s exceeded ALL expectations! Deutschland, ich verliebe mich gerade Hals über Kopf in dich! (Winter may be different!)

No one understands engineering standards like the Germans do... It's such a great experience to be able to just talk to project people who just... get it... without having to have it spoon fed.. argued about... negotiated... discounted... lied about... seriously, the word "WUNDERBAR" just fits!

Art therapy is such a useful tool to express and understand feelings and emotions that words struggle to capture. My sobriety gave me so much change, I struggle to know even the most basic things about myself sometimes - where I’m at, where I’m going… where I’ve been… Pictures are worth 1000 words.

Representation matters. For so many, it's important to see that things are possible... If you can't picture yourself doing something, you'll never achieve it. I'm never going to be an astronaut... but there's a generation of little girls out there who need to see that it IS possible for them. #stem
