Yeah, it's been feeling that way for a while now. I don't know if there's anything they can do to reverse the decline other than pushing creators to shill their subscriptions.

New Mexico abolished money bail in 2013 by state constitutional amendment. It’s been controversial but we’ve fended off every attack. Our people are released pretrial unless they’re found dangerous, which is not automatic and requires real proof. Other states can do this too

Every platform and institution reliant on bs is dying. Everything reliant on taking advantage of and hurting people is going to see a dropoff. Every organization that fails to do better because it expects to keep getting fat from exploitation will start to dry up.

Not surprised to see there has been a drop off in social media usage over the last few years. Soon there will be huge chunks of the population unreachable by social media. Increase in Reddit usage tells me that forums & less toxic digital communes may become more important.

So who is going to step up and somehow create a new thing for artists, authors, makers, single traders, indie musicians, all the creatives who lost their platforms? We have an audience, we just got cut off when the social networks went useless. Publisher etc still expect us to do marketing. HOW?!
