Reminder about "They're here ILLEGALLY" Being undocumented is a civil offense, not a criminal one. That's why they're not entitled to a court-appointed lawyer, why it's "civil detention" not a jail, why it's not in the criminal code, etc. Other civil infractions are things like parking tickets.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

We still don't know the names of the ICE agents who killed Gonzàlez behind the wheel of his car outside Chicago in September. They were unmasked in this BWC footage from Franklin Park police. If you have any information at all about these men—please text us on Signal at unraveled.66
