Reform is a protest party. A protest against decency, integrity, kindness, expertise, and progress. It's a party of pettiness and hate, and it is made up of petty and hateful people from the grassroots to the very top. What it doesn't have is competence. So good luck with the bins and potholes.

No disrespect to people doing their jobs, but it is not worth reading local election takes for a couple of days, they are almost always based on information that is wrong or incomplete in some way. More than a third of the total seats up for election are in London and won't be out until tomorrow

LIV Golf takes its name from the Roman numerals for 54. Originally LIV featured 54 golfers playing 54 holes. Now, exactly 54 months after LIV was first announced, comes the news that Saudi Arabia is going to withdraw its funding. Sporting symmetry.

Captain. Leader. Far-right sympathiser. Terry joins ranks of footballās radicalised | Jonathan Liew
John Terryās journey into the internet pipeline is by no means an isolated case ā what makes footballers so susceptible? And so we ask ourselves: how did it come to this? Did we miss the signs? Were there red flags that went unheeded, cries for help that fell on closed ears, forks in the road not taken? Or ultimately, for all our best efforts, was it always going to end like this? Is it, in fact, possible that John Terry was a far-right sympathiser all along? Yes, itās been a chastening week for those who have been fighting Terryās corner for more than a decade. Who steadfastly defended him against the racism charges, who accepted his explanation that he was simply repeating what Anton Ferdinand had been saying to him, who turned up at his trial in full kit, who lamented his failure to land the coaching jobs he so coveted, who right to the end just wanted to believe. "In the UK we called it 'Boss Cat' because we had a cat food brand called 'Top Cat' which, of course, was problematic for a publicly-funded BBC. However, it was lost on nobody that, whatever it was called, it was basically just Sergeant Bilko with cats, and that is what unites our countries today."

Chelsea and Man City in the FA Cup final. No other English clubs have systematically ignored, bent or broken the rules like both have done. In terms of trophies won, no other English clubs have been as successful over the past decade and a half either. The moral of the story - is that there is none.

To be clear, none of my criticisms of the abuse of state power in this process are directed at Parliament and the Select Committee. Theyāre all directed at the government. Part of Parliamentās job is to scrutinise what the government is doing. 2/3
